Join Carlsbad MainStreet and the downtown merchants for a full day of fun, shopping and activities. Live music and pictures with Santa. Electric Light Parade starts at 7 PM. This year’s theme is Prickly Pear and Cactus Honey.

SILVER CITY
24th Annual Lighted Christmas Parade
Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 7 PM
The parade ends with a community wide celebration at the parade awards ceremony.

Horse Drawn Trolley
Friday, November 28 and Saturday, November 29
MainStreet has arranged for a horse drawn trolley on Bullard Street that is sponsored by local businesses.

Tamale Festival
November 29, 2014 from 10 AM until 2 PM
The program includes entertainment and an award for the best tamale.

Santa’s Treasure Hunt
Starting early in December clues will be given for “Santa’s Treasure Hunt.” The treasure will be found somewhere in the downtown and whomever wins the treasure will receive $500 in MainStreet Gift Certificates that have been donated by local businesses.

TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCES
7th Annual Old-Fashioned Christmas
Friday, December 12, 2014 from 6-9 PM
Christmas tree lighting at Evelyn Renfro Park, pictures with Santa Claus, and performances by the Community Chorus and Line Dancers. Stores will be open for Christmas shopping with festivities found throughout the district.
